Information Meeting on Reintegration of Returned Migrants in Sadakhlo Community Center in Georgia

On August 16, 2016, a meeting focused on supporting reintegration of returned Georgian migrants programme was held in Sadakhlo Community Center of Marneuli municipality, attended by the first deputy Minister of Internally Displaced Persons from the Occupied Territories, Accommodation and Refugees of Georgia Grigol Giorgadze and the Kvemo Kartli governor Paata Khizanashvili. The meeting aimed at providing detailed information about available services and benefits provided by various non-governmental organizations for returned migrants with support of the Ministry and the local municipality.

The Ministry of Internally Displaced Persons from the Occupied Territories, Accommodation and Refugees of Georgia has been providing support to the reintegration of the returned Georgian migrants since 2015. In year 2016, the state financing has been increased with GEL 200,000 and to date, totals GEL 600,000. The ministry continues implementation of the reintegration programme with involvement of the non-governmental organizations.
