Moldova becomes more attractive to foreigners
According to the Migration and Asylum Bureau of Moldova, last year, over four thousand residence permits were requested, which is by 13 percent more against 2017. Most often, they come for employment, study, starting a business or reuniting with their families.
Last year, more than 21,000 foreign citizens requested stay permits. Most of them, 30 per cent, came from Turkey. The ranking is followed by Romanians, Ukrainians and Azerbaijani people. The number of foreign investors interested in developing a business in Moldova increased.
The maximum period of stay in the Republic of Moldova for employed foreign citizens is one year, after which they can extend the contract with the employer.
