A new international border crossing point to be opened on the Ukrainian-Romanian state border

10.04.19

A new international crossing point Orlivka (Ukraine) - Isakcha (Romania) for ferry, passenger and cargo traffic will be opened on the Ukrainian-Romanian state border. The relevant decision was made on 10 April on themeeting of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine. Volodymyr Omelyan, the Minister of Infrastructure of Ukraine announced the above.

According to him, the new international border crossing point will start its work this summer.  It will create conditions for the opening of an appropriate ferry service between Ukraine and Romania adjacent to the Odesa-Reni highway.

Currently, the Ukrainian-Romanian transport passenger and freight traffic is carried out through the territory of the Republic of Moldova (the checkpoint Reni (Ukraine) - Giurgiulesti (Republic of Moldova).
