EU to earmark 80m for new cross-border cooperation program Latvia-Lithuania-Belarus

The final conference of the cross-border cooperation program Latvia-Lithuania-Belarus for 2007-2013 was held in Rezekne. The meeting was attended by Belarus Consul General Belarus in Daugavpils Vladimir Klimov, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The event was attended by representatives from Belarus, Latvia and Lithuania who participated in the program as beneficiaries or partners, representatives of the governing bodies and national agencies of the program.

The conference participants commended the results of the joint projects, hailed the positive experience of working as partners, and outlined the prospects of further cross-border cooperation. The EU plans to earmark 80 million for the new program for 2015-2020.
