State Migration Service of Amenia and ICMPD sign memorandum to repatriate and reintegrate Armenian migrants

On 8 November, the State Migration Service of Armenia and the Armenian Office of the International Center for Migration Policy Development (ICMPD) signed a memorandum of understanding launching a project designed to repatriate and reintegrate former Armenian migrants.

The project is aimed at assisting the Armenian government in handling migration-related processes. The assistance will be provided to repatriated citizens to help their social and -economic integration and also create conditions for their normal livelihoods.

The Armenian government will use the assistance to train and retrain repatriated migrants, to support them in setting up small businesses, and to provide necessary medical services and temporary asylum. The project is an initiative of ICMPD and is funded by the European Unions Asylum, Migration and Integration Fund.
