Ukrainians working in Poland transferred about $3.84 bln home

Polish Deputy Foreign Minister Bartosz Cichocki has said the amount of remittances transferred by Ukrainian citizens from Poland to Ukraine grew by almost one and a half times in 2017, to PLN 13 billion, or about UAH 100 billion (estimated USD 3.84 billion). "If Ukrainian workers transferred PLN 8 billion home in 2016, the latest data from our central bank shows that some PLN 13 billion was transferred in 2017, which is about UAH 100 billion," he said at the 11th Europe-Ukraine Forum in Rzeszow, Poland.

As reported, the National Bank of Poland forecasts that 200,000-300,000 Ukrainians will annually come to Poland until the end of 2020 to work in that country.
